Great experience let down by storage model
When I just need to fire off a big file quickly, nothing beats it for ease. The problem is it's a transfer tool not a storage tool, so files vanish and I keep re-uploading the same deliverables to different clients. I'm split because the sending experience is fantastic but I wish it doubled as a place files could actually live.
Pros
Effortless sending, fast uploads
Cons
Not a storage solution, repeated re-uploads needed

Background phone backup just works
What sold me is how the mobile app quietly backs up every photo and video the second I'm on wifi, no babysitting required. Freed up loads of space on my phone. The 1TB free tier means I'm nowhere near the limit and restoring an old picture takes seconds. Set it and forget it, exactly what I wanted.

Rock-solid sync and real end-to-end privacy
The MEGAsync desktop client keeps my selected folders mirrored across two machines without a hiccup, and selective sync means I only pull what I need. Knowing the files are encrypted before they ever leave my computer is exactly what I wanted. Restored a deleted folder from the rubbish bin last week with zero fuss.

Good for volume sites, not for premium ones
If you have high-volume arbitrage or download traffic, the popunder rates are honestly hard to beat and the fill is rock solid. But if you care about a clean reader experience the intrusiveness of the formats is a real tradeoff. I run it on one site and deliberately keep it off my main brand. Genuinely torn.

Top-tier fill and a CPM that keeps climbing
What sold me is the fill rate on geos most networks ignore, my whole African and Middle East traffic now actually monetizes. eCPM has trended up the longer I've stayed and the optimization their team did on my popunder zones gave a real bump. Payments via Payoneer arrive exactly on the NET-15 cycle every single time.

Reliable money, frustrating support
I'll give credit where due: the withdrawals are consistent and UPI is convenient. The problem is support. When my links broke after a site update it took over a week and several follow-ups to get any human reply. The product is decent, the help desk really is not. Can't fully recommend until that improves.

Minimum payout raised the bar and I'm stuck below it
My traffic is small but real, and I was steadily building toward the payout threshold when my balance kept getting reset by surprise invalid-traffic adjustments at the end of every cycle. The result is I have never once actually been paid despite months of running their video ads. Feels like the deductions are timed to keep small publishers from ever cashing out.

From zero to consistent income in months
Setting up was a single code snippet and within a few months my regional news site was earning enough to cover hosting and then some. The link and display units load fast, the in-feed native ads blend nicely with my layout, and reporting updates in near real time so I can see what posts are taking off. Couldn't be happier.

Good for beginners, mobile experience is rough
I started monetizing my Telegram file links here and it's beginner friendly, the minimum withdrawal isn't crazy high so I actually reached my first payout. The catch is on mobile the interstitial page sometimes loads slowly or glitches, and a lot of my audience is on phones. So I get fewer completed views than I'd like.
Pros
Low-ish payout threshold, easy onboarding
Cons
Interstitial page is laggy on mobile

Huge invalid traffic deduction with no real explanation
Everything was fine for months, then suddenly a big chunk of my earnings got wiped out as invalid traffic right before payout. My traffic sources never changed and I sent them analytics proving it's organic, but all I got back was a generic reply about their anti-fraud system. Losing nearly half a month's income with zero breakdown of what was flagged is not okay.
Cons
Opaque invalid-traffic deductions, generic support answers, money taken right before payout

Decent earnings but invalid traffic deductions sting
The platform itself is solid and the native ads look professional. What keeps me at three stars is the invalid-traffic adjustments. A couple of months I saw noticeable deductions that I couldn't fully reconcile with my analytics, and the explanation was pretty generic. Good network, just wish the IVT reporting was more transparent.
Pros
Professional ad units, reliable platform
Cons
Opaque invalid-traffic deductions

Good network, dashboard could be a touch clearer
Switched my parenting blog here last year and the earnings bump was immediate and substantial. The video monetization in particular pulls in revenue I never had access to before. My only minor frustration is that some of the dashboard metrics take a second to understand, the difference between visits RPM and session RPM tripped me up at first.
Generous free storage but the download page is a chore
The 10GB free plan is honestly hard to beat and sharing a public link takes two clicks. But every time someone opens my link they get hit with ads and a wait timer before the download button shows up, which makes me look unprofessional. I keep using it for the storage, yet I'm always half tempted to move my files elsewhere.
Pros
Big free storage, dead-simple public links
Cons
Ad-heavy download pages and wait timers for visitors
It's free and quick, which I like, and the no-login approach is convenient for one-off shares. That said anyone with the link can access the file, and I'm not fully clear on how encrypted things are at rest. Fine for non-sensitive stuff, wouldn't use it for anything personal.
Pros
Free, fast, no account
Cons
Link-based access means limited privacy control

Six months in and genuinely impressed
Taboola's native units lifted our page RPM right away and the SmartFeed keeps the scroll going so our pages-per-session climbed noticeably. What sold me is the support, I raised a tag conflict and they had it sorted same day with a proper explanation. Payments arrive exactly when the contract says and the brand-safety controls let me block whole categories with one click. Easily recommend it to other publishers.
Pros
Immediate RPM lift, more pages per session, fast support, on-time payments

Love the privacy, transfer quota is the catch
Honestly impressed by how secure and polished MEGA feels for a free account. Sharing folders with family is one click. The one thing that bugs me is hitting the download transfer limit on the free plan when I grab a few large files in a row, then having to wait. Worth it for the encryption though.
Pros
Slick interface, easy family sharing, encrypted by default
Cons
Free-tier transfer quota can run out quickly

Reliable for years, minor UI quirks
Been using this on and off for a couple of years to shift design files between studio machines and it has never lost a file. The encryption gives me peace of mind for client work. UI feels slightly dated and the settings are a bit buried, but functionally it's rock solid.
Pros
Dependable, encrypted, handles huge files
Cons
Slightly dated interface
Pros
Strong rates and fill for high-volume traffic
Cons
Ad formats are intrusive for premium/brand sites

The lifetime premium deal was a no-brainer
I grabbed the premium upgrade and it instantly unlocked bigger upload limits, killed all the ads, and gave my download links a clean professional look. Worth it for anyone who shares files seriously. The storage is enormous and I've never come close to filling it.
Outstanding fill on hard geos, rising eCPM, proactive zone optimization, punctual payouts

Charged for traffic I'm convinced was bot clicks
Burned through a serious chunk of budget in days with almost nothing to show for it. The click reports showed activity but our analytics recorded near-zero real sessions, classic sign of low-quality or fraudulent traffic, and getting any meaningful refund review felt like pulling teeth. I asked for a breakdown and got boilerplate. Won't be running spend here again until this is fixed.
Requested a payout after hitting well past the minimum and it sat in pending for over three weeks. I opened a ticket, got one generic reply about 'processing delays', and then nothing. No payment, no follow up. When a platform holds money you actually earned and stops answering, that's the end of trust for me.
Cons
Payout stuck in pending for weeks, support went silent
Cons
Could never reach the minimum payout, end-of-cycle deductions, no real support help
Pros
Quick setup, fast-loading native units, near real-time reporting
5.0 out of 5
Setup was a single wrapper and done
I'm not a heavy technical person and dreaded the integration. Turned out to be one header-bidding wrapper snippet plus a quick call with their team to confirm. Earnings started flowing within days and the dashboard made everything obvious.
Pros
Beginner-friendly setup; intuitive dashboard

Pays well, but it's not for tiny sites
The earnings are good once you have real traffic and the native format genuinely converts better than display for us. On the flip side, smaller publishers may struggle to qualify and the payout threshold means you wait a while for that first payment. It's a quality platform, just clearly built with bigger media properties in mind.
Pros
Native format converts well, good earnings at scale
Cons
Tough for small sites, high payout threshold

Great reach, but invalid-traffic deductions sting
There's no question Outbrain puts your content in front of a huge premium audience and the engagement metrics look good on paper. What keeps me from rating higher is the invalid-traffic clawbacks that show up after the fact, and they're not always clearly explained. So the headline numbers feel inflated until you see the adjusted figures. Mixed feelings overall.
Pros
Massive premium publisher reach, good top-line engagement
Works for big brands, harder for smaller advertisers
If you have the budget and patience, the native placements deliver real engaged readers and the brand-safety controls are decent. For us as a leaner advertiser the minimum thresholds and the long optimization period made it a tougher fit, and some publisher placements were lower quality than I'd like. Genuinely a 50/50 experience, good tech but not built for our scale.
