TeamViewer let me connect to a client's machine across the country in seconds and the session was rock solid even on their patchy hotel wifi. File transfer and the remote reboot-and-reconnect feature both worked flawlessly. Honestly the best remote desktop tool I have used in 15 years of IT.
Fast, stable connections and reliable file transfer
Connections are quick and the screen sharing quality is excellent even when I am supporting users on slower connections. The unattended access setup is straightforward and has been dependable. My only gripe is the licensing cost feels steep for a small business.
Crisp screen sharing and easy unattended access
Pricing is high for small teams
Managing servers and helping colleagues in three different cities is effortless with TeamViewer. The latency is barely noticeable and the security with two-factor and allowlists gives me real peace of mind. I recommend it to every IT person who asks.
Low latency and strong security controls
I jump between Windows, Mac and the occasional Linux box and TeamViewer handles all of them without fuss. The mobile app is handy when I need to fix something away from my desk. The interface could feel a bit less cluttered, but overall it does the job well.
Works across every OS I use
Interface feels a little cluttered
I use TeamViewer only to help my parents with their laptop a few times a month, yet it suddenly accused me of commercial use and started cutting my sessions off after 30 seconds. The verification process to clear it was slow and frustrating. For a free personal use case this killed it for me.
Wrongly flagged personal use as commercial, sessions cut off
