CareerBuilder has been around forever and I do still get some legitimate listings here. But a chunk of the postings felt outdated or led to staffing agencies rather than direct employers. It's a decent backup board but no longer my first choice for a serious search.

On the employer side, CareerBuilder's recruitment software made posting and tracking candidates genuinely easy. The applicant management dashboard kept everything organized and we filled three positions in a month. The candidate database search is powerful and saved my team real time.

I came to CareerBuilder mainly to apply for jobs but ended up using their resume builder and skill assessments, which actually sharpened my profile. Applied to several roles and got a couple of callbacks. My only nitpick is the site shows you a lot of ads while browsing.
