CareerBuilder has been around forever and I do still get some legitimate listings here. But a chunk of the postings felt outdated or led to staffing agencies rather than direct employers. It's a decent backup board but no longer my first choice for a serious search.

I came to CareerBuilder mainly to apply for jobs but ended up using their resume builder and skill assessments, which actually sharpened my profile. Applied to several roles and got a couple of callbacks. My only nitpick is the site shows you a lot of ads while browsing.

On the employer side, CareerBuilder's recruitment software made posting and tracking candidates genuinely easy. The applicant management dashboard kept everything organized and we filled three positions in a month. The candidate database search is powerful and saved my team real time.

We used CareerBuilder to post several openings and the value for money was solid compared to pricier platforms. Candidate flow was steady and the screening filters helped narrow applicants quickly. One minor wish is more granular reporting, but overall a happy customer.

The daily job alerts from CareerBuilder were well targeted and brought a few opportunities I would have missed. I appreciated the salary tools too. The interface looks a little dated compared to newer sites, but the core functionality does the job well enough.
