BlaBlaCar is a clever concept and I've had some great rides. But my last trip the driver kept cancelling and rebooking the timing, which threw my plans off. When it works it's brilliant; when it doesn't, you're a bit stuck. Genuinely a mixed bag.

Had a smooth ride with BlaBlaCar from one city to the next. The driver was polite and the price was unbeatable. The only hiccup was the agreed pickup point being a little vague, so we wasted ten minutes finding each other in the car park.

Used BlaBlaCar for a long intercity trip and it was fantastic. My driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and the conversation made the hours fly by. Cost me a fraction of the train fare and the in-app verification made me feel safe. Highly recommend.

I love using BlaBlaCar for weekend trips, the prices beat any bus or train. Drivers have always been courteous and the messaging feature makes coordinating easy. My only wish is that more rides were available on the smaller-town routes I often travel.
