The reading content on Zerodha Varsity is excellent, but the certification module was riddled with problems for me — the quiz wouldn't submit and twice it timed out and wiped my answers. I emailed support and got a generic reply that didn't fix anything. Hugely disappointing when you've put hours into a module and can't get the certificate.
Certification quiz broken, poor support
Varsity by Zerodha is a fantastic free resource and I've worked through most of the trading modules. My only gripe is that a few examples reference older charges and rules that have since changed, so a beginner could get confused. Still, the conceptual teaching is top class.

Some examples are outdated
Zerodha Varsity taught me more about markets than any paid course I'd tried. The modules build logically from the basics of the stock market to options and personal finance, and the writing is plain English with real Indian examples. The fact that it's completely free and ad-free is incredible — I recommend it to every beginner.
Comprehensive, free, beginner-friendly
I love the idea of Zerodha Varsity but the app has repeatedly reset my reading progress across the modules, so I keep losing my place in the technical analysis chapters. I tried logging in and out and reinstalling, and it still didn't sync. For a free education platform the content is great, but the broken progress tracking made it frustrating to study seriously.

I'm a salaried person trying to understand investing, and Zerodha Varsity broke down mutual funds and risk in a way that finally clicked. The modules are well structured and the tone never feels condescending. I'd only wish for more video content to go alongside the text, but as a free platform it's outstanding.
