Wego sent me to a partner agent for a cheap fare and after I paid, the booking was never confirmed and the agent stopped replying. Wego told me it's only a search engine and not responsible for the partner, so I was left chasing a refund alone. Be very careful who it links you to.
No support when a partner agent fails to deliver
Wego found me a genuinely good hotel rate in Abu Dhabi and the map view helped me pick the right neighbourhood. My one complaint is the number of promoted listings that push up to the top before the cheapest options. Still happy with the booking overall.
Good hotel rates and map view
Too many promoted listings
Wego pulled together fares from agents I'd never have checked individually and found me a Riyadh to Dubai return for far less than the airline quoted directly. The filters for baggage and airline are well thought out and the whole search felt built for this region.
Strong regional fare coverage
I booked a Jeddah to Istanbul flight plus a hotel through Wego and the price comparison was spot on. The app is fast, supports the currencies I actually use, and the fare alerts told me exactly when to book. Easily the most useful travel app on my phone.
Fast app with useful fare alerts
Wego is my go-to for comparing flights and hotels across the Gulf and Asia, and it consistently surfaces good prices. The only thing to watch is that it hands you off to third-party agents, so I always glance at the agent's reviews before paying. Otherwise a reliable tool.
Wide hotel and flight comparison
Relies on third-party agents
