I've sunk countless hours into Wargaming's titles and still enjoy the core combat. But recent balance changes and the push toward premium content have made me question how much I want to keep investing. The games are great, the direction lately leaves me genuinely undecided.

Both World of Tanks and World of Warships are brilliantly made and the matches are genuinely tense. The trouble is Wargaming leans hard on premium vehicles and lootbox-style offers that can affect the experience. I'm torn, the core gameplay is excellent but the wallet pressure is real.

Wargaming clearly knows how to maintain a live game. World of Tanks gets regular events, the servers are stable even during big tournaments, and the community is huge. My only minor complaint is that new-player onboarding can be overwhelming with so many systems to learn.

Wargaming did a wonderful job with World of Warships, the naval combat is methodical and rewarding and the ship models are stunning. Knocking off one star because matchmaking can occasionally throw lopsided teams together. Otherwise a beautifully crafted game I keep returning to.
