VinFast has clearly been listening, because over-the-air updates have fixed several of the early niggles on my car. It is a smooth, well-priced electric SUV that does the daily commute brilliantly and barely costs anything to run. The only thing I would improve is the regen braking, which can feel grabby in traffic.

Really pleased with the equipment levels on my VinFast, which include features that cost extra elsewhere. It rides comfortably and the customer service team has been responsive when I had questions. My only gripe is the real-world range sits a little below the advertised figure on the highway.

My VinFast electric SUV has been comfortable and roomy, and the long warranty gives genuine reassurance for a newer brand. The ride is quiet and the charging costs are wonderfully low. One minor gripe is that the touchscreen menus could be more intuitive to navigate while driving.

VinFast deserves credit for entering the EV market with a stylish, well-equipped car at a sharp price. Where I am genuinely torn is the early ownership experience, with a couple of software bugs and a service network that is still being built out. The car has real potential but it feels like an early adopter purchase.

I genuinely want VinFast to succeed and the car has good bones, with a comfy ride and plenty of space. That said, I have had to take it back twice for software glitches and a sensor fault, which is more than I would like in the first year. Torn between admiring the ambition and wishing the quality control was tighter.
