I've used Toshiba external drives for years to back up my photo library and they've been completely reliable with fast transfer speeds. The build feels solid and the bundled software actually works well. I keep coming back to the brand because they simply last.
Reliable, fast, durable build
My Toshiba television produces a lovely sharp image and the smart features run smoothly without fuss. Sound is better than most built-in speakers I've heard. My only gripe is the remote feels cheap and the buttons aren't backlit for evening viewing.
Sharp image, decent built-in sound
Cheap, non-backlit remote
My Toshiba TV developed vertical lines across the screen barely past the warranty window and the panel is essentially dead now. Support quoted a repair that costs nearly as much as a new set, which is hugely disappointing for a name I trusted. Feels like it was built to fail right on cue.
Panel failed just after warranty, costly repair quote
The Toshiba TV looks great when you're sitting directly in front of it, with nice colours and a bright panel. Off to the side though, the picture washes out noticeably which is awkward for a wide living room. Decent for the money but the panel has clear limits.
Bright, colourful head-on
Poor off-axis viewing angles
The Toshiba 4K set I bought has a beautifully natural picture with Dolby Vision that makes everything pop, and the Fire TV interface is fast and familiar. Setup took five minutes and it's been rock solid since. Genuinely the best mid-range TV I've owned.
Gorgeous picture, fast interface, easy setup
