Our Taj Hotels stay had that unmistakable old-world charm and the staff were lovely. However, the room, while comfortable, felt a little dated and the bathroom fittings could use refreshing. Mixed feelings, you pay for the legacy and service more than modern interiors.

Stayed at a Taj property in Mumbai and the service was as gracious as ever, with the doorman remembering our name by day two. The room was spacious and immaculate. Only minor gripe was the breakfast buffet got crowded and we had to wait for a table on the weekend.

Taj Hotels delivered the polished experience you'd expect and the staff were genuinely warm. Still, with resort fees and pricey in-house dining, the total bill climbed faster than I anticipated for a two-night stay. Beautiful property, but I left feeling the value was just average.

Our Taj stay in Udaipur was the stuff of dreams, with a room overlooking the lake and service that made us feel like royalty. The cultural evening, the boat transfer and the dining were all exceptional. This is hospitality at its finest and we can't wait to return.
