I used StepStone while applying for roles in Germany and the Netherlands and the listings were genuinely relevant and up to date. The application tracking is handy so you don't lose track of where you've applied. Only gripe is that some employer profiles felt thin on actual salary detail.
Relevant, current listings
Sparse salary info
StepStone definitely has the volume when you're looking across multiple countries, and I landed a couple of interviews through it. The downside is that the job alerts kept sending me roles in the wrong city and language despite my filters being set correctly. Good board overall, just wish the matching was sharper.
Wide European coverage
Alerts ignore filters
StepStone is a reasonable starting point if you're job hunting in continental Europe, and I appreciate that they cover several markets in one place. The annoyance is seeing the same role listed three or four times by different agencies. Worth using, just be ready to sift.
One place for several markets
Lots of duplicate listings
I came across my current job in Vienna through StepStone after a few weeks of searching, so I can't complain about the core service. The mobile site works well for browsing on the commute. My one minor frustration was the volume of marketing emails once I'd registered.
Good mobile browsing
Too many marketing emails
There's no shortage of openings on StepStone and the search filters are reasonable. That said, half the postings bounce you out to a third-party site to actually apply, which gets tedious. It does the job but the experience could be smoother.
Plenty of openings
Too many external redirects
