Stayzilla connected us with an absolutely stunning homestay in the hills near Munnar, complete with home-cooked meals and a warm family running it. The booking was smooth and the price unbeatable. This is exactly the kind of authentic stay big hotel chains can't offer.
Authentic experience and unbeatable price
I've booked a couple of homestays through Stayzilla now and the value compared to hotels is excellent. The hosts have been friendly and the locations authentic. The one improvement I'd suggest is more and better-quality photos on some listings so there are fewer surprises.

Stayzilla helped us find a lovely heritage homestay in Pondicherry that we'd never have discovered on the big hotel sites. Booking was straightforward and the host gave us brilliant local food tips. One minor thing, confirmation took a few hours to arrive.

Used Stayzilla to book a homestay in Coorg and the place was every bit as cosy as the photos. The host was welcoming and the rate was better than nearby hotels. My only gripe is the app felt a little clunky while searching and filtering options.

I booked a Stayzilla homestay that looked great online, but on arrival the room was smaller and a couple of the listed amenities like hot water simply weren't working. The host was apologetic but couldn't fix it, and getting any adjustment through the platform was a hassle. Left disappointed.
