The car from Sixt was top-notch and the rental itself went fine. Afterwards, though, I spotted an extra charge I didn't recognise and sorting it out took several emails and a couple of weeks. They did eventually refund it, but the back-and-forth left me with mixed feelings about an otherwise strong brand.
Booked a basic class with Sixt and they offered me a convertible upgrade at a small fee, which made my coastal drive unforgettable. The car was flawless, the staff were sharp and friendly, and there were no hidden charges at return. This is how a rental should feel.

I've rented from Sixt across three countries now and the consistency is impressive. The cars are always high-spec and immaculate, and the app handles everything from booking to digital check-in without a hitch. Returning is as simple as dropping the keys and walking off.
