Seek made my move to Melbourne so much easier. The salary insights and company reviews helped me judge offers properly, and the application process was seamless from start to finish. I had multiple interviews lined up within a fortnight. Couldn't recommend it more.
Great salary and company insights
Seek does what it promises with a clean interface and relevant Australian listings that made my search efficient. I got a role in Brisbane after a few weeks. The only blemish was a confusing charge on a profile add-on I didn't realise was paid.
Clean, efficient interface
Unclear paid add-on charge
Seek has a huge volume of Australian roles and the search experience is generally good. What I found frustrating was the constant prompts to upgrade to a paid profile to stand out. The free version works, but you feel gently pushed toward the wallet.
Huge volume of roles
Persistent upgrade prompts
I applied to well over twenty roles through Seek and barely received a single acknowledgement, let alone feedback. Several listings stayed live for weeks after I'd applied with no response. For a platform this dominant, the lack of employer accountability is genuinely disappointing.
No response or feedback on applications
Seek is the obvious choice for roles in Australia and the listings are comprehensive. When I searched across the wider Asia-Pacific region, though, the coverage felt thinner and some filters didn't translate well. Good locally, more of a mixed result regionally.
Comprehensive Australian listings
Thinner regional coverage
