I bought the game directly from Rockstar and the launcher repeatedly logged me out and lost my cloud saves on two occasions. Re-downloading 100GB twice on my connection was painful. The games are great but the launcher experience let me down badly.
Buggy launcher losing saves and forcing re-downloads
Rockstar keeps GTA Online fresh with new heists and updates years after launch. Playing with friends never gets old and the map remains incredible. My one gripe is the load times after updates can be painfully long.
Endless content and great co-op with friends
Long load times after updates
Rockstar games are events when they finally arrive, and the quality usually justifies it. The problem is the gap between major releases is enormous and online support for older titles tapers off. Loyal fans like me are left waiting years with little to show.
Exceptional production quality
Huge gaps between releases
There is no denying Rockstar makes some of the best single-player experiences ever. But GTA Online leans heavily on Shark Card purchases and the grind otherwise feels designed to push you toward spending. I am genuinely torn because the craft is so good but the in-game economy is exhausting.
Top-tier game design
Aggressive in-game monetisation
Rockstar built a world in RDR2 that feels genuinely alive, from the weather to the NPC routines. I have put in over 200 hours and still discover new details. No other studio comes close to this level of detail and storytelling.
Stunning open world and storytelling
