My Preply German tutor is fantastic and lessons have been consistently good value. I did have one tutor cancel last minute and getting the credit back took longer than expected. Once sorted, support was polite, so I am still happy overall.

Preply suits me because I can book French lessons around my shifts and reschedule when work runs late. My tutor sends homework and tracks vocabulary, which keeps me accountable. Sometimes finding an open slot with a popular tutor is tough, but otherwise it works well.
I have improved my English speaking a lot through weekly Preply sessions with the same tutor. The built-in video and chat tools work fine and I rarely have connection issues. I just wish the time zone display was clearer when booking across countries.
Preply made it easy to find a Spanish tutor in my budget, and the filters for price and availability are genuinely useful. My tutor is a native speaker and tailors each lesson to my level. The only annoyance is the platform takes a big cut of the first lesson, which I think tutors deserve more of.
