PracticePanther handles our day-to-day matter and client tracking well, and the calendar sync keeps deadlines from slipping. The trouble is the reporting side feels thin, so I still export to spreadsheets to get the firm-wide picture my partners want. It does the core job, I just expected a bit more depth for the price.

Logging billable hours straight from the matter screen and pushing invoices out in batches is genuinely effortless, and clients love paying through the portal. Support actually answered my questions during onboarding instead of pointing me at a help article.
I wanted to like PracticePanther but the two-way calendar sync repeatedly dropped events, and one statute deadline never appeared on my phone. For legal practice software that is a serious problem, not a minor annoyance. Support acknowledged the bug but weeks later it still was not fully reliable.
The automated payment reminders in PracticePanther recovered thousands in aging receivables we used to chase by phone. Trust accounting stays compliant, the client portal cut down on status emails, and the mobile app lets me approve invoices from court. Honestly cannot imagine running the practice on paper files again.
