We use OneTrust to map data inventory and run vendor risk assessments and it has genuinely cut down manual spreadsheet chaos. Reporting for our compliance committee is clean and exportable. My one complaint is that implementation took longer than the timeline we were promised.

After moving to OneTrust our DSAR turnaround dropped from weeks to a couple of days and the consent banner integration just works across all our properties. The assessment templates mapped neatly to GDPR and our state-level US laws. Honestly the best decision our compliance team made this year.

OneTrust does what it claims for privacy governance and the assessment automation is genuinely useful. That said, the pricing model nickel-and-dimes you per module and support response times vary a lot depending on your tier. It is comprehensive, but I am not sure it is good value for a mid-size team like ours.

The cookie scanner and preference centre rollout were smoother than expected and audit trails keep our DPO happy. Only gripe is the sheer number of modules can feel overwhelming when you first log in.
