Our shipment was billed with a reweigh and reclassification charge that nearly doubled the quoted cost, with no clear documentation to back it up. Sorting it out took several calls and a lot of waiting. The delivery itself was fine, but a surprise like that on the invoice really soured the experience.

Old Dominion has been our main LTL carrier and the damage-free record is genuinely impressive, our pallets show up intact almost every time. Transit times are dependable across regional lanes too. The only reason it's not five stars is the occasional missed delivery appointment that throws off our receiving schedule.

I've shipped LTL with several carriers and Old Dominion stands out, on-time delivery is consistently in the high nineties and claims are practically nonexistent. The tracking is precise and the customer service reps actually solve problems. For freight that has to arrive intact and on schedule, they're my first call every time.

Year after year Old Dominion delivers our regional and national freight without drama, the on-time rate is exceptional and I genuinely can't remember the last damaged pallet. The pickup drivers are courteous and the tracking is spot-on. When a shipment absolutely has to arrive right, this is who we ship with.
