Been shooting weddings on my Nikon for two seasons and it never lets me down. Battery life easily covers a full day and the dual slots give me peace of mind. The only niggle is the rear screen could use better touch responsiveness.
Great battery life, dual card slots
Touchscreen feels sluggish
The Nikon DSLR produces beautiful files with excellent detail and the optical viewfinder is a joy. That said, the menu system feels dated and buried, and I keep hunting for settings mid-shoot. It's a capable camera that just needs a friendlier interface.
Excellent image quality, bright viewfinder
Cluttered menu system
I bought into the Nikon mirrorless mount expecting a wide lens lineup, but native options are limited and pricey here. Adapting older glass works but autofocus slows noticeably. Disappointed after spending so much on the body.
Solid body build
Limited native lens selection
The Nikon optics are genuinely excellent and I love the files, but the companion app for transferring photos is unreliable and drops the connection constantly. When it works, it's a brilliant camera; when the app fails, it's maddening. I'm genuinely torn.
Excellent optics and image files
Buggy phone transfer app
My Nikon Z mirrorless is the best camera I've owned. The in-body stabilisation lets me handhold at absurdly slow shutter speeds, and low-light performance during night street photography is phenomenal. Colours straight out of camera are stunning.
Superb stabilisation and low light
