My Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV lets me do the daily commute on electric and switch to petrol for road trips without range anxiety. The all-wheel control is brilliant in poor weather and the cabin is roomy for the whole family. Mitsubishi got the formula spot on with this one.

The Mitsubishi SUV is rugged and reliable, exactly what I wanted for rough roads. At the same time the infotainment and instrument cluster feel a generation behind rivals, and the cabin design is plain. Genuinely torn between its dependability and its dated feel.

My Mitsubishi Triton handles heavy loads on the worksite and still drives decently on the highway home. The diesel is gutsy and economical, and the build feels like it will last years. Knocked off a star only because road noise on coarse tarmac is noticeable.

Took my Mitsubishi Pajero Sport on a tough monsoon trail and the four-wheel drive and ground clearance were faultless. It seats seven comfortably, the diesel pulls strongly, and it has proven utterly reliable. For serious off-roaders this is incredible value.

I like my Mitsubishi but getting it serviced has become a real chore as dealers near me have closed down. The nearest authorised centre is now a long drive and appointment slots are scarce. The vehicle is fine, but the dwindling support has me worried about long-term ownership.
