Krafton clearly poured effort into the mobile experience and the graphics are stunning for a phone game. Matchmaking is quick and the controls are responsive. Easily one of the best-looking battle royales I have played on mobile.
Stunning mobile graphics and smooth controls
When everything works, Krafton's PUBG is the most tense and rewarding shooter around. But server lag during peak hours in my region and the recurring cheater problem genuinely test my patience. I keep coming back, but never without reservations.
Tense, rewarding combat
Server lag and cheaters at peak times
Krafton's PUBG still has the best gunplay in the battle royale space for me. The trouble is I hit hackers in roughly one in five matches and the anti-cheat feels like it is always a step behind. When the lobby is clean it is brilliant, otherwise it is frustrating.
Excellent gunplay and map design
Cheaters appear too often
I enjoy Krafton's titles but their patch notes and updates are often vague and balance changes can come out of nowhere. The core experience is solid and the maps are well crafted. I just wish they communicated with the community more clearly.
Well-designed maps and solid core gameplay
Poor communication on updates
Krafton keeps PUBG ticking with steady seasonal content and the gameplay loop is still addictive. The only thing holding it back for me is occasional weapon balance that favours certain loadouts. Otherwise a dependable studio.
Steady content updates and addictive loop
Occasional weapon balance issues
