I rely on Indian Kanoon a lot, but lately I've hit a few cases where the judgment text was truncated or a recent order simply wasn't indexed yet. For time-sensitive research that gap is a real problem since I then have to cross-check elsewhere. The core is good but coverage of newer rulings lags.
Missing or incomplete recent judgments
Indian Kanoon is the first place I go to look up judgments and statutes, and the breadth of coverage across High Courts and the Supreme Court is impressive. The cross-citation links between cases save me hours of research. I just wish the search filters were a bit more granular for narrowing by date or bench.
As a law student I genuinely could not manage my coursework without Kanoon. Full text of judgments, bare acts, and the way it highlights cited cases makes understanding precedent so much easier. That all of this is free and openly accessible is remarkable. It has democratized legal research in India.

Indian Kanoon reliably has the case law I need and the full-text search usually surfaces the right judgment quickly. It's been a dependable tool for years. The interface does look quite old-fashioned and the ads can be distracting, but the substance underneath is what keeps me coming back.

The legal content on Kanoon is genuinely useful, but the volume of advertisements crammed into the page makes serious research frustrating. On mobile especially, pop-ups and banners get in the way of reading a long judgment. I understand it funds a free service, but it really hurts the experience.
