My Jeep India SUV went in for a transmission complaint and stayed at the workshop for over six weeks because the part was stuck in the pipeline. Nobody from the dealership proactively updated me and I had to chase them constantly. Paying a premium price for this kind of after-sales is unacceptable.
Extreme repair delays, poor communication
Love driving the Compass but every visit to a Jeep India service centre feels like a shock. A routine service cost me nearly double what friends pay for comparable SUVs, and a couple of parts were marked up steeply. The product is good; the ownership cost is hard to justify.
Enjoyable to drive
Expensive servicing and parts
The Meridian from Jeep India has been a great family hauler with a planted highway ride and a solid feel that German rivals charge double for. Build quality is excellent. The only thing holding back a fifth star is the fuel economy, which is on the heavier side in city traffic.
Planted ride, premium build
Poor city mileage
My Jeep Compass from Jeep India handled a 2000 km Spiti trip with river crossings and broken roads like it was nothing. The 4x4 system is genuinely capable, the diesel torque is addictive, and the cabin stayed comfortable the whole way. This is what an SUV should feel like.
Real off-road capability, strong diesel, premium cabin
Within the first year my Jeep India Compass developed random infotainment reboots and a faulty parking sensor. The workshop reset things twice but the gremlins came back. For the premium I paid, I expected far fewer electrical issues from a brand like this.
Good ride quality
Recurring electrical faults
