Inshorts gives me the gist of the day's headlines without the clickbait and endless scrolling. The 60-word summaries are genuinely well written and I can clear through twenty stories in a few minutes on the train. I just wish a few more regional stories made it into the feed.

Inshorts respects my time. Each story is summarised in 60 words with a link to read more if I want, and the categories let me focus on tech and business. I'm genuinely better informed since I switched, and I no longer waste an hour buried in long articles.
Sixty words shouldn't be enough to cover a story, but Inshorts manages it consistently. The swipe interface is smooth, notifications are timely without being spammy, and the neutral tone of the summaries is refreshing. This has replaced three other news apps for me.
The summaries are fine but Inshorts pushes breaking-news alerts at 2am and the settings to control frequency barely make a difference. I've tweaked everything and still get buzzed for stories I don't care about. Almost uninstalled over the notification spam.

I used to love how clean Inshorts felt, but lately there's a sponsored card every few swipes and it really interrupts the flow of reading news. The summaries are still good, but the experience feels heavier than it should for an app built on speed and simplicity.
