Hirist is my go-to for technology roles because the filtering by skills and experience actually works. I found several openings that matched my DevOps background. Only minor issue is the mobile site can be sluggish when loading job details.
Good skill-based filtering
Slow mobile experience
As a backend developer, Hirist was hands down the most relevant portal for me. Almost every recommendation matched my tech stack and seniority, and I got calls from product companies rather than random consultancies. Cracked a great offer within a month of seriously using it.
Highly relevant tech roles
I came to Hirist expecting quality tech roles but ended up getting pinged about positions completely unrelated to my specialisation. After applying to several listings I heard nothing back, and a couple turned out to be already filled. Disappointing given how specialised it claims to be.
Irrelevant outreach, stale listings
Hirist clearly knows the IT hiring space and most listings were actually relevant to my stack. The downside is I kept seeing the same role reposted by different recruiters, which made it hard to tell what was still open. Useful for tech jobs but the duplication is annoying.
Strong IT job focus
Duplicate reposted listings
Hirist does a good job of surfacing IT and engineering roles that fit my profile. The problem is the recruiters vary wildly, some are sharp and others clearly haven't read my profile. A genuinely mixed bag depending on who picks up your application.
Relevant tech listings
Inconsistent recruiter quality
