For conversational marketing at scale this has been a genuinely great partner.
Excellent scale and deliverability, strong APIs
We use Gupshup for high-volume WhatsApp and SMS campaigns and the throughput is exactly what an enterprise sender needs. The frustration is support response times, which swing from same-day to radio silence depending on the week. Solid plumbing, inconsistent service around it.
Gupshup's WhatsApp and SMS delivery has been dependable for our marketing blasts and the reach is genuinely wide. Where I'm torn is the bot builder and console, which feel dated and take longer to configure than they should. Powerful underneath, but not the smoothest experience day to day.
The messaging engine itself is strong and Gupshup gets our WhatsApp and SMS out reliably. My mixed feelings come from billing, where per-message and conversation charges are hard to reconcile against the invoice each month. Great for the actual messaging, less great when finance asks me to explain the costs.
We had marketing templates sitting in limbo on Gupshup for over a week with no clear reason for the rejection, and the support tickets just bounced between generic replies. A whole promotional push missed its window because we couldn't get a single template through. For a platform whose entire value is messaging, that bottleneck is unacceptable.
