The GTPL Hathway connection itself is reasonable and outages aren't too frequent. The problem is reaching anyone useful when something breaks, since everything routes through the local cable guy who may or may not respond. Good days are good, bad days are frustrating.
Reasonable connection most of the time
Support depends entirely on local operator
After a year with GTPL Hathway I'd say it's average. The pricing is attractive and the cable bundle is convenient, but the broadband stability comes and goes and renewals always involve a chase for the receipt. Can't fully recommend or warn against it.
Attractive pricing, convenient cable bundle
Variable stability, messy renewals
GTPL Hathway gives me steady speeds for the money and the local cable operator who handles it is responsive when I message him. My only minor gripe is that during evening peak hours the speed dips a bit. Otherwise it does the job for browsing and streaming.
Affordable, responsive local operator
Slight evening peak-hour slowdown
I subscribed to the 100 Mbps GTPL Hathway plan but speed tests rarely cross 40 Mbps even at midnight. Raised this multiple times and was told it's a line issue that's never resolved. Disappointed because I'm paying for speed I clearly don't get.
Speeds far below the plan I pay for
GTPL Hathway works fine most days but I'm genuinely torn. The broadband is cheap and the cable TV picture is clear, yet I get random disconnections a couple of times a week that fix themselves. Support is hit or miss depending on which local agent picks up.
Cheap, clear cable picture
Random disconnections, inconsistent support
