Flexing It clearly targets experienced consultants and the projects that do appear are quality engagements. The trouble is that opportunities arrive infrequently, so it cannot be your only source of work. A genuinely mixed experience that depends heavily on your field.

I applied to a few consulting mandates on Flexing It and rarely received any feedback on where my proposal stood. Not knowing whether a client even viewed my application made it hard to improve. The platform has good clients but the lack of transparency was frustrating.

Flexing It matched me with a strategy consulting project at a reputable company and the engagement was exactly at my expertise level. The fee benchmarking tool helped me quote fairly without undercutting myself. Easily the best platform I have used for serious independent consulting work.
