Filevine packs an enormous amount of case management capability and the customisation is impressive. For our small practice, though, it felt like overkill and the setup took weeks. I'm torn because the platform is clearly excellent, but the complexity and cost may suit mid-to-large firms far better than ours.

Filevine has completely centralised how our firm runs cases. Documents, deadlines, communications, and tasks all live in one organised place, and the automation around our workflows has cut hours of admin each week. Onboarding support was excellent and the team genuinely understood litigation. Couldn't run our caseload without it now.
While the feature set is genuinely strong, we've battled noticeable performance issues β pages loading slowly and the occasional timeout during busy periods. For a tool our attorneys live in all day, the lag became a real productivity drain. Support acknowledged it but the fixes have been slow to land.
We rely on Filevine daily for matter management and the core platform is robust and flexible. My one gripe is the mobile app, which lags behind the desktop experience and occasionally won't sync the latest notes. On a laptop it's superb; on the phone it's serviceable but frustrating.

Slow performance and timeouts under load
Filevine handles our complex litigation matters well and the reporting gives partners real visibility into case progress. Support has been responsive whenever we hit a snag. The only thing keeping it from five stars is that some advanced features require add-on modules that raise the overall cost more than we'd planned.
