Despegar's prices and package deals are excellent and I've booked several trips without issue. The one time I needed to change a hotel date, though, the support wait was long and a bit frustrating. Great for booking, less great when something needs fixing.

Despegar found me a much cheaper Buenos Aires to Lima flight than booking direct, and bundling a hotel saved even more. The site is easy to navigate in Spanish and the installment payment option is genuinely useful. Lost half a star only for the slightly pushy upsells.

We organised flights, a resort and transfers for six people through Despegar and everything synced perfectly. Their app kept all the vouchers in one place and a date change was handled quickly over chat. Easily the smoothest big booking I've made.
Excellent for group and family packages
Being able to pay for my Cancun package in monthly installments through Despegar is what let me take the trip at all. The hotel and flights were exactly as described and the confirmation came through immediately. For travellers in the region this is a fantastic option.
