Clerky is excellent at generating the right forms, but it's important to understand it doesn't give you legal advice. We hit a question about a SAFE structure and there was nobody to actually consult β just documents. Good tool if you know what you need, less ideal if you want guidance.

For startup paperwork Clerky gets the job done and I trust the accuracy. My mixed feeling comes from the UI, which feels clunky and a bit dated compared to newer formation tools, and onboarding took some figuring out. Functional and dependable, just not the smoothest experience.
I signed up for Clerky to handle our incorporation paperwork and was billed for an annual plan I didn't realise I'd committed to. When I reached out to cancel and request a refund, it took over a week to get any reply and the answer was a flat no. For a service aimed at first-time founders, the billing transparency is genuinely poor.

Trustworthy document accuracy
Dated, slightly confusing interface
The paperwork Clerky produces is genuinely high quality and the workflow is well thought out for fundraising docs. That said, the per-document and annual costs add up quickly, and a bootstrapped startup might find cheaper routes. I'm torn β it's good, but I questioned whether the premium was worth it for our small team.

Clerky handled our incorporation and the entire post-incorporation set of documents flawlessly. The 83(b) election guidance and founder stock paperwork were spot on, which our investors' lawyers later confirmed. As a non-lawyer founder, having everything generated correctly and organised in one place was a huge relief.
