I've banked with Citigroup for a while and the core experience is good, the consumer banking is solid and the credit card perks are real. The one recurring frustration is phone wait times during peak hours. Once you reach someone they're helpful, but getting there can test your patience.
Good products and helpful staff
Long phone wait times
I travel constantly and Citigroup's global footprint has been a lifesaver. The credit card has no foreign transaction surprises, the rewards are genuinely worth redeeming, and I can access support in nearly every country I visit. Banking with them has been seamless for years.
Strong global access, solid card rewards
Day-to-day banking with Citi has been dependable and the online platform is clean and quick. I like that I can manage cards and accounts in one place. The only thing I'd change is clearer upfront disclosure on a couple of the account maintenance fees.
Clean platform, dependable service
Some fees not clearly disclosed
We use Citigroup for treasury and cross-border services and they've been a genuine partner as we expanded internationally. The relationship team understands our needs and execution has been reliable. Few banks have the global reach to support a business like ours this well.
Excellent global institutional reach
Citi's credit card products are excellent and the cashback has saved me real money. Customer service has resolved disputes quickly the couple of times I needed them. The mobile app is mostly fine but does log me out more often than I'd like, which is a small annoyance.
Good rewards, quick dispute resolution
App logs out too often
