Moving over to Spectrum from our old provider was easier than expected, and the technician who set up the line was friendly and thorough. Broadband has been steady for streaming since. I'd have given five stars if the introductory price held longer.
Easy switch and good install experience
Intro pricing is short-lived
When Spectrum is up the speeds are perfectly good for my needs and I rarely think about it. But we have had a few unexplained outages in the evenings that took a while to clear. It's a genuine mixed bag, decent service with occasional reliability hiccups.
Good speeds most of the time
Occasional evening outages
We have multiple devices streaming and gaming at once and Spectrum handles it without slowing down. Adding Spectrum Mobile to the account was simple and trimmed our overall bill. The only small annoyance is that the WiFi router runs warm, but performance is good.
Handles heavy household use
Router runs a bit hot
Spectrum gives us a reasonable price for internet and TV combined, and the channel lineup covers everything we watch. Service has been reliable through the year. Customer service hold times can be long, but once you reach someone they get things sorted.
Reasonable bundle pricing
Long phone hold times
What sold me on Spectrum was no annual contract and no data caps, and the internet has held up nicely for streaming and remote work. Install was on time and the modem was ready to go. I just wish the upload speed on my tier was a little higher.
No contracts or data caps
Upload speed could be better
