I ordered biryani and North Indian dishes from Charcoal Eats and received someone else's order entirely, vegetarian items I cannot eat. Reaching support was painful and the refund was only partial after a lot of back and forth. A frustrating experience that wasted my dinner plans.
Wrong order and poor refund handling
The North Indian thali from Charcoal Eats tasted genuinely good with that nice charred edge. The problem was the delivery took well over an hour and the food was only warm by the time it reached me. Torn, because the cooking is solid but the timing let it down.

Charcoal Eats can be very good, my first order of biryani was excellent. The second time the rice was a bit undercooked and the gravy was oilier than before. When they get it right it is lovely, but the inconsistency between orders leaves me unsure.

Was looking forward to Charcoal Eats but the biryani arrived overly salty and the meat was a bit dry. The much-talked-about charcoal flavour was barely there. It was edible but not what I expected from a brand built around that smoky promise. Disappointed for the price.

Charcoal Eats served up a really satisfying biryani with that subtle smoky char they are known for. The North Indian gravies I added were rich and the rotis arrived soft. Everything was hot and well sealed. A great find for a comforting dinner at home.
