The ABCmouse activities are genuinely educational and my son enjoys them. What torn me is the constant upselling to other Age of Learning apps and the difficulty cancelling. The early-learning material is strong, but the business side leaves a slightly sour taste.
Educational activities
Pushy upsells, hard to cancel
We've used ABCmouse for both our children and it covers reading, maths and art nicely. The progress tracking lets me see what they've completed each week. Occasionally the app crashes on our older tablet, but a restart fixes it. Overall a good early-learning subscription.
Broad curriculum, progress tracking
Occasional app crashes
ABCmouse was great for the first year when my kids were learning letters and numbers. After a while the activities started feeling repetitive and my older child lost interest. It's a decent early-learning tool but you may outgrow it sooner than the marketing suggests.
Strong for very young kids
Content gets repetitive
My four-year-old went from knowing a few letters to reading simple words after a few months on ABCmouse. The step-by-step learning path keeps her motivated with the ticket rewards and games. As a parent I love that the content is structured rather than random videos.
Structured curriculum, kids stay engaged
Age of Learning's ABCmouse turned screen time into actual learning time for our preschooler. She races through the reading and math lessons and the reward system keeps her coming back. The breadth of subjects, from phonics to science, is fantastic for the price.
Engaging, wide subject coverage
