No fuss, no nonsense. Click a link, file downloads at full speed, done. I've never once hit a broken link or a missing file on something I uploaded. Paying yearly for this peace of mind is a no-brainer.
Consistent full-speed downloads and total reliability.
The core service is genuinely good and my files have never gone missing. That said, the interface is ancient, there's no real mobile app to speak of, and managing folders on a phone browser is a chore. I keep it for backups but wouldn't call it pleasant to use day to day.
Dependable retention and fair pricing.
Outdated UI and weak mobile experience.
Been hosting my Linux ISO mirrors and family video backups here for two years. Premium downloads max out my 300 Mbps line every time, no wait timer, no captcha, and resumable downloads actually resume after my flaky connection drops. The yearly price is dirt cheap compared to what I get.
Full-speed downloads, no ads on premium, generous storage and reliable resume support.
Logged in from a new location and got hit with a verification loop that never let me back in. Sent two tickets over a week and got nothing but the automated acknowledgement. I have paid premium files I literally cannot reach right now. Incredibly frustrating for something I'm paying for.
Lockout issues and unresponsive support.
Uploaded a batch of project files on the free tier and a few weeks later the links were dead, files auto-deleted because of inactivity. Nothing in my email warned me beforehand. Lost work I assumed was safely parked. If your retention policy deletes files, at least tell people clearly.
Free-tier files auto-deleted with no clear warning.
Paid via card for a year of premium and the account stayed stuck on free tier. Speeds still throttled, still seeing ads and timers. Opened a ticket with the transaction details and days later there's still no fix and no refund. Taking money and not delivering the service is unacceptable.
Premium not activated after payment, slow support, no refund.
Pushed nearly 2TB up over a weekend and not a single failed upload. The cold storage tier is so cheap I moved my whole NAS archive here. Files I uploaded three years ago are still there, untouched. For long-term backup this is exactly what I wanted.
Huge affordable capacity, files retained for years, dependable uploads.
The hosting itself is okay but the free download page is plastered with deceptive ad buttons and pop-ups that nearly tricked me into downloading something else entirely. Had to dodge two fake download buttons before finding the real link. That kind of experience makes me hesitant to share links with less tech-savvy people.
Files downloaded fine once I found the correct link.
Misleading ads and fake buttons on the free download page.
Does exactly what I need: upload once, share a link, files stay put without auto-deletion eating my premium uploads. Speeds are great and the affiliate payouts actually arrive. Only gripe is the dashboard feels like it's from 2009 and takes a minute to figure out where everything is.
Reliable storage with no surprise file deletion, fast premium transfers.
Dated, clunky interface.
No flashy marketing, just a service that does its job. I've shared hundreds of premium links over the years and recipients with accounts always get clean fast downloads. The yearly cost is laughably low for the bandwidth and storage I actually use. Highly recommend.
Outstanding price-to-value, fast reliable transfers, long file retention.
Can't fault the storage value or the upload reliability, both have been excellent for my archive. The problem is when something does go wrong you're basically on your own, replies take ages if they come at all. Fine while everything runs smoothly, nerve-wracking when it doesn't.
Low prices, stable hosting.
Slow and inconsistent support.
I run a small modding community and 1Fichier handles our big download packs without breaking a sweat. The cold storage option keeps my archive costs tiny and direct links work perfectly with download managers. Renewal was painless and pricing has stayed fair for years.
Cheap large storage, direct-link friendly, great for download managers.
What sold me is that they don't demand a phone number or shove a bloated app at me. Upload via the website or API, get a clean shareable link, and the files stay encrypted at rest. As a developer the API integration into my deploy scripts was straightforward too.
Good privacy stance, clean sharing links, usable API for automation.
I queue dozens of premium links into my download manager overnight and wake up to everything finished at full line speed. Resumable downloads mean a dropped connection never costs me progress. After trying several hosts this is the one I actually renewed.
Excellent download-manager support, full-speed resumable downloads.
Tried grabbing a 4GB file shared by a friend and the free tier throttled me to around 50 KB/s with a forced wait timer and three ad redirects before the link even appeared. It estimated 22 hours for one file. This isn't sharing, it's hostage-taking until you pay.
Crippled free speeds, long wait timers and aggressive download-page ads.
Honestly torn. Premium is fantastic value and the storage is enormous for the price. But the moment I share a link with non-premium friends they hit the wait timers, speed caps and ad pages and complain to me. So it's brilliant for personal use, mediocre for actually sharing with others.
Excellent value and capacity on premium.
Free-tier experience for recipients is rough.
